AI Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Agentic AI applications, which include multi-agent workflows and orchestration.

• Engage in hands-on technical collaboration, conduct code reviews, and provide support and mentorship to AI Engineers and contractors.

• Architect and implement RAG pipelines, vector search, embedding-based retrieval, and LLM integration patterns for production-level scenarios.

• Design and construct MCP Server integrations along with tool-use frameworks.

• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering and Data Strategy, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, to convert AI strategy and roadmap into actionable technical execution plans.

• Take ownership of the selection and integration of AI frameworks and platforms to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.

• Establish and uphold engineering best practices, including CI/CD, testing protocols, and responsible AI guardrails.

• Monitor the latest trends, tools, and techniques in AI engineering and evaluate their applicability.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, propose and implement enhancement ideas, and engage in training activities.

• Assist with and adhere to internal and external audits by providing necessary information, performing assigned tasks, and maintaining documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or numerical discipline (Required).

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and developing software applications and/or data engineering pipelines.

• At least 3 years of experience leading or providing technical guidance to engineers on application or AI/ML delivery teams.

• Proficiency in LangGraph, LangChain, RAG chatbots, vector databases, NLP-based automation, MCP Server development, embedding-based search, and LLM integration is essential.

• Required experience in microservices architecture, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS and/or Azure, Spring Boot, Node.js, CI/CD, and DevOps automation.

• Preferred experience with Trino, Superset, Starburst SQL Server, ETL tools, S3, Airflow, Iceberg, PySpark, or Hive.

• Preferred experience in building financial services solutions within big data infrastructure.

• Strong hands-on expertise in machine learning frameworks, agentic AI architecture, and cloud computing platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery and mentor engineers in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; capable of translating business requirements into technical designs.

• Working knowledge of AI ethics, data privacy, and regulatory considerations pertinent to AI systems.

• Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate (MLA-C01), Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102), Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer, NVIDIA AI/Deep Learning certification, Databricks Machine Learning Associate.
