AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level AI solutions, autonomous AI agents, and frameworks for multi-agent orchestration.

• Assist in digital transformation efforts aimed at financial services, anti-financial crime measures, and scalable AI infrastructures.

• Architect and create production-level autonomous agents and orchestration frameworks for multiple agents.

• Design, construct, and launch AI solutions utilizing Large Language Models and agentic structures.

• Provide guidance on technical implementations across various parallel teams, ensuring architectural standards are consistent and reusable.

• Integrate LLMs with external APIs, proprietary tools, databases, and enterprise systems.

• Enhance prompt engineering, context management, state management, and workflows for long-running agents.

• Establish monitoring, logging, evaluation, and observability frameworks for AI applications and autonomous agents.

• Utilize MLOps/AIOps methodologies, including model versioning, testing, performance assessment, and monitoring.

• Design and deploy AI solutions primarily on AWS while also collaborating within Azure and Databricks environments.

• Work alongside business, data science, engineering, and cloud teams to deliver AI-driven solutions in regulated settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in AI Engineering, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or related disciplines.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level AI solutions.

• Familiarity with building and deploying autonomous AI agents and multi-agent systems.

• Experience in integrating Generative AI and LLM technologies into enterprise applications.

• Proficient in Python development.

• Practical experience with AWS, including AWS Bedrock and AgentCore.

• Knowledge of AI/LLM integration patterns such as MCP, A2A, Structured Outputs, and skills-based architectures.

• Understanding of agent orchestration frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar technologies.

• Experience with MLOps/AIOps practices, including versioning, testing, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks.

• Ability to integrate AI solutions with APIs, databases, and enterprise platforms.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Azure AI services.

• Nice to have: Experience with Databricks.

• Nice to have: Background in Financial Services, Insurance, AML, KYC, Fraud Prevention, or other regulated sectors.
