AI Data Platform Field Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discussions centered on data-centric AI architecture, focusing on data characteristics and its lifecycle.

• Create AI solutions that enhance data access patterns, improve pipeline efficiency, and optimize metadata, indexing, and retrieval.

• Suggest enhancements for performance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and trustworthiness.

• Assess how data design influences model performance, latency, GPU utilization, ingest requirements, and overall cost.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions with enterprise clients to pinpoint, develop, and qualify AI Factory opportunities.

• Convert business goals into scalable AI architectures and design solutions.

• Provide guidance to CTOs, AI leaders, and Data Engineering heads.

• Propel deal advancement by aligning technical solutions with quantifiable business outcomes.

• Determine the scope and scale of AI Factory environments based on GPU settings, data volumes, throughput, and workloads.

• Establish performance benchmarks for data ingestion, storage, retrieval, and GPU usage.

• Lead efforts to optimize time-to-first-token, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Clearly articulate and position modern data platforms, object storage, data pipelines, vector databases, and AI framework integrations.

• Collaborate with Product Management to shape roadmap priorities and deliver structured feedback from the field.

• Develop and present technical materials such as reference architectures, design patterns, whitepapers, conference presentations, and publications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in technical presales, solutions architecture, or a field CTO position.

• In-depth understanding of AI/ML workflows, encompassing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and model inference and deployment.

• Proven capability to lead architecture initiatives based on data requirements and access patterns.

• Proficient in mapping and optimizing the end-to-end data flow throughout the AI lifecycle.

• Experience in defining, developing, and enhancing AI Factory offerings.

• Background in contributing to reference architectures and influencing product direction and roadmap priorities.

• Expertise in sizing and designing GPU-based environments tailored for AI workloads.

• Experience collaborating with AI/ML or data engineering teams.

• Solid knowledge of data pipelines, data lakes, and object storage.

• Understanding of performance aspects concerning large-scale data access.

• Ability to assess and position solutions according to their suitability.

• Skill in aligning architectures with workload requirements and scalability.

• Grasp of trade-offs among performance, cost, and complexity.

• Proven track record in leading customer discovery efforts and translating requirements into technical solutions.

• Exceptional communication skills for engaging both technical and executive audiences.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. in states such as Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Texas, or Virginia.
