AI & Data Platform Engineering Intern – Undergraduate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to projects involving AI/ML for fraud prevention, credit risk assessment, and data-informed decision-making.

• Create semantic models and reusable data resources.

• Develop data platforms, SQL queries, ingestion and transformation pipelines, microservices, and Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs).

• Design and implement AI-enhanced workflows and scalable model-driven solutions.

• Prototype AI solutions, automated scripts, agentic workflows, and implementations of Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Establish data quality checks, monitoring, alerting, and observability.

• Enhance platform reliability, reusable frameworks, automated testing, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.

• Create integrations between data and AI tools as well as enterprise systems.

• Engage in design reviews, code reviews, architecture documentation, testing, and activities related to production readiness.

• Assist business stakeholders with technical enablement, documentation, and workflow integration.

• Investigate emerging AI tools, libraries, Generative AI, agentic applications, and AI-assisted development tools.

• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, product managers, and stakeholders; present project outcomes and their business impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or related fields.

• Must have completed at least the sophomore year by the start of the internship.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.

• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.

• Experience with scripting, automated testing, and system monitoring.

• Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub.

• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, techniques, and best practices, or a strong academic interest in AI, ML, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

• Practical experience in data analysis, manipulation, and visualization.

• Academic experience or hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A sense of curiosity, motivation, and eagerness to learn new technologies and fields.

• Familiarity with Generative AI-assisted development tools.

• Interest in big data, AI/ML, risk analysis, enterprise software engineering, system design, and cloud infrastructure.

• Preferred experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt, PySpark, Spark, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, data quality, observability, monitoring, DevOps, CI/CD, APIs, event-driven systems, distributed systems, Generative AI, agentic applications, semantic technologies, open source, or relevant projects.
