Agronomy Enablement Manager – South Division

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Define and implement the strategic vision for Agronomy and Innovation projects throughout the division.

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing agronomy enablement team through effective coaching, mentoring, performance assessment, and skill development.

• Oversee the SGS MAP (Maximizing Agronomic Performance) initiative.

• Assist in the development, execution, and assessment of agronomic innovation projects, including product lines, fertilizer initiatives, and digital agriculture technologies.

• Propel scientific validation and field acceptance of new technologies via research collaborations, field trials, and evaluations of agronomic performance.

• Create and provide advanced technical training sessions.

• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with universities, researchers, industry organizations, and private consultants.

• Offer advanced technical advice and oversight for crop claims, agronomic recommendations, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with commercial leaders to pinpoint opportunities that enhance customer outcomes, stimulate sales growth, and support divisional goals.

• Provide support for South Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Plant Science, or a related field is required.

• A PhD is preferred.

• Equivalent combinations of education and substantial industry experience may be considered.

• Over 10 years of progressive agronomic experience.

• Proven leadership experience in managing personnel, teams, graduate researchers, or other technical experts.

• Experience in developing and mentoring technical talent.

• Experience in leading agronomic programs, research initiatives, or innovation projects that align with commercial goals.

• Preferred experience in collaborating with universities, researchers, growers, and industry stakeholders.

• Advanced knowledge in crop production systems, agronomic research, field diagnostics, and data-driven decision-making.

• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities are required.

• Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and leadership capabilities.

• Ability to reconcile scientific rigor with practical business applications.

• Must reside in the United States.
