This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the Scrum Master for one or several Agile software development teams.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, which include Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Guide development teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a well-organized, prioritized product backlog and lead backlog refinement sessions.
• Work alongside the Technical Program Manager to ensure sprint execution aligns with program milestones, release timelines, and delivery goals.
• Partner with the Engineering Lead to pinpoint technical dependencies, alleviate delivery obstacles, and enhance team effectiveness.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among software engineering, UX/UI, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, platform engineering, and forward-deployed engineering teams.
• Identify, monitor, and assist in removing organizational and technical hurdles that impact team velocity, quality, or predictability.
• Maintain Agile metrics, including velocity, sprint burndown, throughput, cumulative flow, and team health indicators.
• Advocate for predictable, sustainable software delivery while balancing mission priorities, quality, and cybersecurity standards.
• Assist in release planning, software demonstrations, customer feedback sessions, and operational fielding activities.
• Foster collaboration with client users to ensure operational feedback is integrated into future product iterations.
• Help establish and enhance Agile delivery processes that can be scaled across multiple software development teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for Agile software development teams.
• Proven experience leading Agile teams utilizing Scrum and/or Kanban to deliver enterprise software products.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum, Lean principles, the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and DevSecOps concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach cross-functional technical teams.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners to maintain and refine product backlogs.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to navigate ambiguity, manage shifting priorities, and maintain delivery momentum in dynamic, mission-driven environments.
• Desired: Experience delivering software products within the US Federal Government.
• Desired: Experience working with geographically distributed software development teams.
• Desired: Experience creating solutions within a Human-Centered Design framework.
• Desired: Experience delivering solutions based on ServiceNow or other No Code/Low Code platforms.
• Desired certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or another equivalent Agile certification.
