This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary contact for members and providers seeking assistance with behavioral health and substance use services.
• Respond to incoming calls related to behavioral health and substance use services.
• Evaluate the needs of callers and identify when clinical intervention or escalation is necessary.
• Facilitate provider referrals, access to care, eligibility verification, benefits information, and authorization processes.
• Generate and update authorizations to ensure accurate claims processing.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to provide timely support to members.
• Conduct follow-up outreach and resolve issues as required.
• Offer resources and information to both members and providers.
• Accurately document interactions while utilizing various systems concurrently.
• Provide professional and compassionate service, aiming for resolution on the first call.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred; particularly in psychology, social work, public health, health coaching, family communications, or a related area.
• Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in another discipline combined with over 2 years of behavioral health experience is acceptable.
• Experience in customer service within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring attention to detail.
• Strong technical skills and proficiency in navigating various systems simultaneously.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
• Preferred experience in behavioral health, mental health services, or substance use treatment environments.
• Preferred experience in supporting members or patients within a healthcare context.
• Preferred experience in a contact center or customer service environment.
• Familiarity with behavioral health benefits, provider networks, or care navigation is preferred.
• A reliable internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic service with minimum speeds of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload is required for remote work.
