This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Promote and market Trelleborg products and services within a designated geographic region, industry sector, product line, or specific customer account list.
• Meet sales and profitability objectives, aiming for a growth rate of over 10% year-on-year.
• Generate and convert projects for primary target clients; oversee the project cycle and its efficiency.
• Achieve a minimum of 7 projects each month, with at least 4 of those being EAR projects.
• Monitor, track, and enhance project win rates utilizing CRM tools.
• Conduct over 20 sales visits monthly across both new and existing accounts.
• Actively pursue sales opportunities and engage with strategic clients to enhance customer satisfaction and drive project generation.
• Cultivate customer relationships and partnerships; evaluate needs and suggest suitable products and services.
• Address complex customer inquiries, negotiate prices and delivery timelines, and secure sales orders.
• Identify, research, and reach out to potential growth customers.
• Provide market insights and intelligence to internal teams including commercial, marketing, segment, product, and lead group personnel.
• Promote both standard and custom-engineered products as necessary and deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Set market selling prices and profit margins with support from Marketing, SM, and GM.
• Ensure prompt quotations to enhance competitiveness and secure orders.
• Complete and submit monthly reports and bowler reports in the first week of each month.
• Develop strategic sales visit and customer action plans while prioritizing activities to achieve targets.
• Collaborate with Sales Manager, General Manager, and Marketing to boost Trelleborg brand visibility and identify opportunities within the territory.
• Acquire knowledge and utilize internal processes and systems including CRM, JDE, GPS, Consense, Quality, and ISO.
• Create procedures for the efficient, accurate, and timely handling of customer projects, quotations, and orders.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Manual, and Quality Procedures.
• Represent the MC in cross-functional teams such as Sales Projects, Sales Excellence, and Quality.
• Travel approximately 60% of the time, which includes local, national, and international travel for customer visits, meetings, and training.
• A minimum of a 4-year college degree (preferably in Business or Engineering).
• At least 3 years of experience in sales or a related engineering field is required.
• A strong technical aptitude is advantageous.
• Must possess mechanical skills and be able to interpret technical prints and drawings.
• Familiarity with the aerospace market is a plus.
• Knowledge of rubber/plastic products is beneficial.
• Understanding of ISO quality requirements is advantageous.
• Exceptional customer focus and a comprehensive understanding of Total Customer Satisfaction.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for building relationships.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Robust analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven experience with business operational software (CRM, Oracle JDE, SAP).
