This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide support for Strategic accounts in the US West sales regions as a pre-sales Solution Engineer.
• Collaborate with both direct and channel sales teams to help achieve SailPoint’s growth targets.
• Actively engage in the sales process.
• Identify and comprehend customer needs, aligning SailPoint solutions accordingly.
• Showcase SailPoint's business functions, value propositions, and competitive advantages.
• Deliver product demonstrations to potential customers.
• Assist in crafting RFP responses alongside the RFP response team.
• Participate in both onsite and remote Proof of Value assessments.
• Provide feedback on product enhancements to the Product Management team.
• Gain knowledge in the Identity Security and Identity Management domains.
• Conduct initial demonstrations and discussions related to IGA.
• Attend Revenue Onboarding and Challenger Sales training sessions.
• Refine technical discovery skills through SE Scrum groups.
• Develop messaging and foster relationships with Account Executives.
• Navigate internal relationships with Customer Success Managers, Product Management, Professional Services, and Partners.
• Coordinate with Account Executives before and after client calls to connect presentations to business value.
• Create technical collateral for organization-wide distribution.
• Acquire knowledge of IT audit functions and regulatory frameworks.
• Present at national or regional conferences and meetups.
• Network and establish a personal brand.
• Clearly articulate SailPoint’s business value as a strategic sale.
• Engage with business stakeholders outside of IT, including HR, Finance, risk management, legal advisors, and various business lines.
• Travel approximately 25% within the US.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource in an enterprise software (B2B) environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of technical infrastructure, including web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories.
• Familiarity with modern SaaS architecture.
• Experience with Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, JSON, and Azure/AWS/GCP is a plus.
• Preferred 3+ years of experience working with Identity, Governance, and Access Management solutions.
• Residence in a Western state is essential.
• Willingness to travel within the US, primarily in the Western region.
• A BA/BS degree or its global equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
• A total of 8 years of related experience is required.
