This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Provide support to the US West sales regions focusing on Enterprise accounts.
• Collaborate with both direct and channel sales teams to drive SailPoint’s growth goals.
• Engage actively in the sales process.
• Identify and comprehend customer needs while aligning SailPoint solutions accordingly.
• Showcase SailPoint’s business functions, value proposition, and competitive advantages.
• Conduct product demonstrations for potential customers.
• Assist in creating RFP responses in collaboration with the RFP response team.
• Participate in both onsite and remote Proof of Value assessments.
• Offer feedback on product enhancements to Product Management.
• Gain knowledge in the Identity Security and Identity Management domains.
• Manage initial demonstrations and discussions in Identity Governance Administration (IGA).
• Cultivate skills in technical discovery, presentation, negotiation, and Challenger Sales methodologies.
• Establish relationships with Account Executives and internal teams, including Customer Success, Product Management, Professional Services, and Partners.
• Coordinate with Account Executives before and after client meetings, linking presentations to business value.
• Contribute to the creation of new technical materials for organization-wide utilization.
• Enhance familiarity with IT audit processes and regulatory standards such as SOX, HIPAA, NERC-CIP, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Represent the company at national or regional conferences and meetups.
• Network and cultivate a personal brand.
• Clearly articulate SailPoint’s business value as a strategic sale.
• Engage with clients beyond IT, including HR, Finance, risk management, legal counsel, and operational units.
• Achieve fluency in the terminology of Identity Security.
• Must reside in Chicago, IL; living in Chicago, IL is mandatory.
• Over 5 years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource within an enterprise software company (B2B).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient knowledge of technical infrastructure, including web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories.
• Familiarity with modern SaaS architecture.
• Knowledge of Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, JSON, and Azure/AWS/GCP is advantageous.
• At least 3 years of experience with Identity, Governance, and Access Management solutions is preferred.
• A BA/BS degree or global equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
• 8 years of related experience is required.
• Willingness and adaptability to travel within the US, primarily focusing on the Western US.
• Approximately 25% travel commitment.
