
Advisor, Third Party Returns – Reverse Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +3 more states.
• Act as the primary point of contact on a daily basis between third-party returns processors and Cardinal Health Operations, Sales, Finance, Sourcing, QRA, Legal, Commercial Enablement, and Accounting.
• Offer subject matter expertise regarding returns across pre-funded, pass-through, and distribution center programs.
• Oversee compliance with contractual agreements between Cardinal Health and third-party returns processors.
• Optimize business processes involving third parties and internal teams.
• Detect and execute enhancements across personnel, processes, and technology.
• Ensure that change is effectively managed for both internal and external resources while maintaining adherence to quality standards.
• Assist in the enhancement of reverse logistics key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare monthly reports summarizing returns costs and volumes, reviewing them with leadership.
• Engage in discussions with third-party processors and participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
• Identify and instruct sales teams on best practices for the third-party returns program, including recommended contractual language and program compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience, preferred.
• 4-8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical logistics or operations industry, preferred.
• Experience in high-volume logistics with a focus on customer service and operational excellence is preferred; experience in a reverse logistics environment is a plus.
• Project management experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Previous Lean Certification is preferred (White Belt, Yellow Belt, Kaizen Leader Training).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; familiarity with Manhattan or SAP is a plus.
• Capability to collaborate within dynamic, cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to think strategically while executing daily tasks with general oversight.
• Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence others, resolve conflicts, and facilitate discussions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong executive presence, capable of leading, messaging, and partnering across various levels of the organization.
