This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic insight and leadership regarding health outcomes evidence requirements for Lilly’s portfolio.

• Utilize knowledge of health outcomes disciplines, therapeutic area disease states, drug development and commercialization, as well as geographic market understanding.

• Take ownership of and execute research projects.

• Develop and articulate product value propositions, strategies for patient-reported outcomes, real-world evidence generation, and differentiation approaches.

• Ensure the sustained integration of HEOR from early clinical development through to commercialization.

• Create and manage the health outcomes research strategy for compounds in relevant therapeutic areas.

• Act as an HEOR strategic partner on lead or core teams throughout the development and/or commercialization phases.

• Formulate and implement Patient Focused Outcome, Real World Evidence, and economic value strategies for key products and regions.

• Establish consistent and agile HEOR standards across the oncology portfolio.

• Develop impactful science throughout the product lifecycle to meet evidence needs and enhance patient outcomes.

• Apply technical expertise in statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, patient-focused outcomes, observational/epidemiological research, and health technology or value assessment.

• Use disease-state knowledge and research methods to tackle registration, pricing, reimbursement, and access challenges.

• Communicate technical expertise alongside business acumen.

• Lead health outcomes evidence planning and execution with cross-functional teams.

• Influence business partners on HEOR prioritization, trade-offs, and recommendations.

• Provide consultation and strategic guidance on leveraging HEOR throughout the enterprise.

• Manage business-partner requests with appropriate prioritization and timeliness.

• Convey health outcomes information to internal partners, the scientific community, and customers.

• Drive dissemination strategies and oversee abstracts, posters, podium presentations, promotional materials, and manuscripts.

• Promote the application of results and deliverables to enhance impact.

• Monitor developments in portfolio disease states, health outcomes methodologies, market needs, and trends.

• Plan HEOR capacity and strategy for an expanding oncology pipeline.

• Monitor and influence internal and external factors affecting health outcomes research.

• Coordinate research efforts to ensure projects align with timelines, budget, and scope.


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate (PhD, MD) with 3–5 years of experience OR PharmD/MS degree with 3–5 years of experience in creating, executing, and delivering outcomes strategies/projects.

• 3–5 years of practical experience with Real World Data.

• High proficiency in statistical programming languages and software such as R, SAS, or Python.

• Experience in managing, harmonizing, and analyzing large-scale electronic health and/or administrative medical and pharmacy claims data.

• Ability to translate research inquiries into program specifications.

• Strong comprehension and communication abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to influence and collaborate within and across teams.

• Experience in setting and leading HEOR strategy across a portfolio or therapeutic area.

• Ability to drive research agendas to completion and dissemination.

• Ability to think and act globally with a customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset.

• Willingness to travel 10–25% domestically and internationally.
