This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform a comprehensive literature review and conduct a state-of-the-art analysis.

• Design and develop innovative constructions and optimizations of quantum circuits tailored for Shor’s algorithm in relation to the ECDLP.

• Implement these constructions using quantum programming languages.

• Execute simulations incorporating noise models and conduct experiments on noisy quantum hardware.

• Analyze performance metrics and engage in iterative optimizations.

• Assist in quantifying the advantages and estimating the timeline for ECDLP vulnerabilities.

• Prepare detailed technical reports and draft scientific papers.


⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in advanced Python programming.

• Strong foundation in quantum computing and quantum information theory.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing Shor’s algorithm.

• Background in developing and optimizing quantum circuits.

• Experience in conducting experiments on actual quantum hardware.

• Skilled in using quantum computing frameworks/SDKs such as Qiskit or Cirq.

• Familiar with quantum simulators and noise modeling techniques.

• Understanding of quantum algorithms.

• Ability to implement and replicate results from scientific literature.

• Knowledgeable about the discrete logarithm problem (DLP) and the elliptic-curve discrete logarithm problem (ECDLP).

• Acquainted with elliptic-curve cryptography (ECC).

• Experience in applying Shor’s algorithm to DLP/ECDLP.

• Knowledge of quantum arithmetic and reversible circuit designs.

• Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compilation methodologies.

• Proficient in error and noise mitigation strategies.

• Familiarity with the architectures and limitations of various quantum hardware platforms.

• Experience in analyzing quantum resources such as qubit count, circuit depth, gate count, and fidelity.

• Understanding of error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing principles.

• Background in scientific research and benchmarking of quantum algorithms.

• Availability for a 40-hour work week.
