This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct a comprehensive literature review and assess the current state of technology.

• Propose and develop innovative constructions and optimizations of quantum circuits tailored for the Shor algorithm in relation to ECDLP.

• Implement these constructions using quantum programming languages.

• Execute simulations incorporating noise models and conduct experiments using noisy quantum hardware.

• Analyze performance metrics and engage in iterative optimization processes.

• Assist in quantifying advantages and estimating the timeline for ECDLP vulnerabilities.

• Prepare detailed technical reports and scientific publications.


⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field.

• Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

• Proficient in advanced Python programming.

• Solid foundation in quantum computing and quantum information theory.

• Documented experience in implementing the Shor algorithm.

• Proven track record in developing and optimizing quantum circuits.

• Experience in conducting experiments on actual quantum hardware.

• Familiarity with quantum computing frameworks/SDKs such as Qiskit or Cirq.

• Background in using quantum simulators and understanding noise models.

• Knowledgeable about quantum algorithms.

• Skilled in implementing and reproducing results from scientific literature.

• Understanding of the Discrete Logarithm Problem (DLP) and the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem (ECDLP).

• Knowledge of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC).

• Experience applying Shor’s algorithm to DLP/ECDLP.

• Familiarity with quantum arithmetic and reversible circuits.

• Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compilation methods.

• Knowledge of error and noise mitigation strategies.

• Understanding of the architectures and limitations of various quantum hardware platforms.

• Experience in analyzing quantum resources, including qubit count, circuit depth, gate count, and fidelity.

• Familiarity with error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing techniques.

• Background in scientific research, particularly in benchmarking quantum algorithms.
