This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main functional and solution architect for Salesforce implementation projects for university advancement and nonprofit fundraising clients.
• Manage projects from start to finish, including discovery, requirements gathering, user story creation, solution design, sprint delivery, testing, deployment, and go-live.
• Convert client business requirements into scalable solutions with a clearly defined delivery scope.
• Supervise configuration, integrations, data architecture, sprint planning, and ensure overall solution quality.
• Provide guidance to clients, address delivery challenges, offer impartial analysis and recommendations, and ensure solutions align with client objectives, scope, and best practices.
• Facilitate adoption, training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Enhance delivery practices and contribute to practice development through proposal support, solution design, pilots, proofs of concept, thought leadership, and reusable assets.
• Architect enterprise-level Salesforce and related technology projects from conception to production support.
• Share industry best practices with business and technology stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for product growth.
• Proven experience in enterprise-level Salesforce projects utilizing waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the entire lifecycle, demonstrating repeated success.
• Extensive functional and technical knowledge of Salesforce, encompassing core configuration features, data models, security, automation, reporting, integrations, and deployment practices.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions across the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, and Experience.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering and business analysis, including leading discovery workshops and defining user stories.
• Experience in documenting and diagramming current-state processes and future-state solutions.
• Familiarity with integrating Salesforce with business systems and integration tools, such as ETL, SIS, finance, marketing automation, and reporting systems.
• Expertise in Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, asynchronous processing, and platform development patterns.
• In-depth knowledge of environment management, release management, code versioning, and deployment methodologies.
• Experience in providing estimates, proposals, technical solutions, pre-sales support, or practice development.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Salesforce Admin Certification is necessary.
• At least 6 years of direct experience in the software development life cycle.
• 5–8 years of experience in Salesforce configuration and CRM implementation.
• Proven track record of overseeing CRM software solution direction, development, and implementation.
• Experience with or in implementing Kindsight Ascend or Affinaquest.
• Project management skills and experience in managing teams.
• Knowledge of data management practices, including capture, warehousing, segmentation, storage, cleansing, and security.
• Familiarity with CRM software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong presentation, facilitation, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience as a team player demonstrated through large-scale or enterprise-level implementations with multiple workstreams.
• Ability to establish trusted-advisor relationships with clients.
• Experience in supporting sales and business development efforts.
• Willingness to travel periodically based on business and client requirements.
