This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the Advanced Technology & Innovation roadmap.
• Ensure innovation initiatives are aligned with business and clinical priorities.
• Act as a senior technical advisor on innovation strategy and prospective technology investments.
• Identify, assess, and promote emerging technologies for competitive advantage.
• Propel innovation from initial concept and feasibility through to product development and market launch.
• Offer technical leadership for strategic technology platforms and product initiatives.
• Engage in prototyping, algorithm creation, system design, and transitioning technologies into regulated medical devices.
• Build, manage, and mentor a diverse Advanced Technology team.
• Recruit and cultivate engineering and scientific talent while leveraging global capabilities and external collaborations.
• Collaborate with Intellectual Property teams on invention disclosures and patent development.
• Contribute to assessments of the technology landscape to guide innovation and investment strategies.
• Work together with R&D, Product Management, Clinical, and Business leaders to create medical imaging solutions.
• Extensive experience in developing innovative medical devices and/or medical imaging technologies.
• Proven track record of translating research and innovation into commercially viable products.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• In-depth expertise in one or more areas such as AI/Machine Learning, Medical Imaging, Biomedical Optics, Advanced Algorithms, and Computational Modeling.
• PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field; a Master’s degree with substantial relevant industry experience will also be considered.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Capability to meet the minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
