Advanced Practice Provider, NP/PA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual telehealth acute care to members experiencing emergent or critical health issues.

• Assess and diagnose acute medical conditions.

• Order and interpret diagnostic examinations.

• Develop care plans and prescribe suitable medications.

• Evaluate quality-of-care interventions, as well as social, home health, and durable medical equipment (DME) needs.

• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, pharmacists, clinical nursing staff, social workers, family members, and caregivers.

• Utilize Devoted's electronic health information system during visits and offer feedback to enhance the interface.

• Provide weekend on-call support to clinical nurses in designated regions.

• Assist in new clinical and organizational programs and initiatives.

• Integrate cutting-edge virtual care practices.

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), medical assistants, documentation specialists, practice administrators, social workers, and clinical nurse partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience as an APP, ideally in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or internal medicine.

• Required licensure and certification must be in good standing.

• Must be able to obtain licensure in required states within 90 days of the hire date.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states as necessary.

• Active RN and APRN licenses, or Physician Assistant licenses, in good standing.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Availability to work four 10-hour shifts per week, including one weekend shift each month.

• Working hours from 11am to 9pm EST.

• Adaptable, keen to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Flexibility in scope of practice and a readiness to tackle new challenges.

• Experience in a setting focused on acute or urgent care is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous.

• Experience conducting visits via telehealth video platforms is preferred.

• Experience in managing acute or chronic disease exacerbations is preferred.
