Advanced Care Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist patients in navigating AdaptHealth with a focus on patient-centered care and effective communication.

• Address patient needs and deliver an outstanding customer or patient experience.

• Collaborate with patients to enhance health outcomes by offering suitable products and services.

• Send correspondence to patients when direct contact is not possible.

• Respond to patient-related emails promptly and ensure follow-up on emails and phone calls until all patient concerns are addressed.

• Maintain professional communication with both internal and external customers.

• Recommend equipment that could enhance the quality of care provided.

• Troubleshoot concentrator and other equipment issues over the phone.

• Confirm or obtain alternative contact information as needed.

• Verify delivery addresses, instructions, and phone numbers for orders.

• Assess documentation for accuracy before processing orders.

• Utilize cost-effective delivery methods and document delivery expectations and requests.

• Record patient or family interactions using standardized note formats.

• Direct orders to the appropriate locations, departments, or regional branches.

• Ensure timely completion of orders received via CMB, email, fax, or phone.

• Identify trends in systems or processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and cost savings.

• Contribute to departmental and organizational objectives by assisting colleagues with call schedules and assigned duties.

• Engage in team activities, mentorship, and training opportunities.

• Create and maintain staff reference materials to facilitate information sharing.

• Escalate patient issues to a supervisor as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• One (1) year of relevant work experience in healthcare administration, financial services, insurance customer service, claims, billing, call center operations, or management, regardless of the industry.

• For senior level positions, a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience and one (1) year of direct job experience are required.

• Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to follow through on tasks.

• Capability to work independently and adhere to detailed instructions.

• Ability to identify weaknesses in current systems and processes, track outcomes, and propose innovative solutions.

• Proficient in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Technical skills to understand data flow and system interactions.

• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
