This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Carry out routine clerical and administrative responsibilities.
• Enter and promptly set up hearing requests in FLORIDA and/or the office case management system.
• Draft, prepare, and disseminate notices, correspondence, meeting notes, and reports.
• Organize, maintain, file, and attach both paper and electronic records.
• Manage and process email correspondence throughout the day.
• Review and appropriately route incoming and outgoing mail.
• Update the case management system as needed.
• Convert and upload documents to ensure Hearing Officers have up-to-date case information.
• Record contacts of Petitioners and Respondents in the case management system.
• Close cases within the system.
• Respond to routine correspondence.
• Compile and maintain lists and records.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience in public assistance programs.
• Experience in making eligibility determinations for public assistance applicants.
• Familiarity with the ACCESS FLORIDA system is preferred.
• Candidate Profile/application must be thoroughly completed.
• Provide supervisor names and phone numbers for all periods of employment.
• Address and explain any gaps in employment history.
• All experience, education, training, knowledge, skills, abilities, and responses to pre-qualifying questions must be verifiable.
• Avoid using “See Resume” instead of providing work history.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawfully authorized alien worker.
• Successful completion of State and National criminal history/background screening before employment is required.
• Screening is conducted in accordance with Chapters 435 and, if applicable, 408 of the Florida Statutes.
• Male candidates born on or after October 1, 1962, must be registered with Selective Service or possess a Letter of Registration Exemption.
• Enrollment in the State of Florida Direct Deposit Program is required within the first 30 calendar days of appointment.
• Subject to reasonable-suspicion drug testing.
• Ability to perform job tasks in compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and state and federal requirements.
