Adjunct Spanish Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the instructional program by conducting synchronous and asynchronous web conferencing sessions via Class Zoom.

• Grade assignments and deliver prompt, high-quality, personalized feedback.

• Maintain regular communication with students and colleagues to update pacing plans and schedules.

• Utilize data to track assignment completion and enhance student interactions.

• Evaluate curriculum and identify necessary course modifications for students with IEP or 504 accommodations.

• Collaborate with team members and administrators to create enrichment activities and adjust lessons for struggling or at-risk students.

• Acquire comprehensive curriculum knowledge and in-depth understanding of assigned courses.

• Engage with students through phone, chat, and WebMail.

• Safeguard student well-being and privacy while adhering to FERPA and Copyright & Fair Use regulations.

• Keep student performance and participation records updated by grading assessments and logging communications with students and parents.

• Hold regular office hours for a minimum of three hours each week.

• Leverage online communication tools to foster relationships and support student success.

• Create an inviting, warm, and supportive online community for students and their families.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Spanish, holding a valid teaching certificate in any state.

• Completion of a traditional teacher preparation program (not alternative certification) from an accredited college or university is required.

• Bachelor's degree is necessary.

• Ability to obtain teaching certification in other states upon request.

• Must provide timely student feedback and grade assessments within designated timeframes.

• Attendance at check-in meetings with the supervisor twice a month or as scheduled is required.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands flexibility, task prioritization, self-direction, and creativity.

• Familiarity with IEP/504 plans and their execution in a virtual environment is essential.

• Strong technology skills are required; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs or Google Apps is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential.

• Exceptional attention to detail is required.

• Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary.

• A customer-focused approach and dedication to student success are imperative.

• Must have a laptop, headset, second monitor, mouse, keyboard, and reliable high-speed internet.

• Work from home within the United States is expected.

• Compliance with home office privacy, technology, equipment, and work-at-home policies is mandatory.
