Adjunct Graduate Nursing Faculty, NP/DNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nepal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Instruct online Graduate Nursing courses within the NP and DNP programs.

• Utilize practical experience in pertinent nursing course topics and specialties.

• Teach a variety of subjects, including advanced health assessment, pathophysiology, pharmacology, advanced practice nursing, psychiatric/mental health nursing, diagnostic reasoning, epidemiology, family nurse practitioner content, psychopharmacology, and scholarly review.

• Facilitate communication and lead problem-solving efforts among students, Wilkes University administration, and staff.

• Foster student engagement in active learning to meet course and program objectives.

• Leverage learning management systems to enhance online teaching.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctoral candidates (PhD/DNP) are preferred for core didactic and NP specialty courses.

• Candidates who are in the process of completing a terminal degree may be considered if they possess substantial relevant clinical and academic experience.

• A minimum of two years of current advanced clinical practice experience is required for NP specialty didactic and clinical courses.

• Must have a current, unrestricted RN license in a compact state.

• Candidates teaching clinical or NP specialty courses must either hold or be eligible for Pennsylvania RN/APRN licensure.

• Must maintain applicable national board certification.

• At least two years of successful online teaching experience in graduate-level courses from an accredited institution is required.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead problem-solving initiatives with students, Wilkes University administration, and staff are essential.

• Demonstrated ability to engage students in active learning to fulfill required course and program outcomes.

• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMSs); experience with D2L / Brightspace is preferred.

• Submission of a curriculum vitae or resume, cover letter, three professional references, current unencumbered RN license, APRN license, national board certification as applicable, and degree transcripts is required.

• Official transcripts must be provided before teaching at Wilkes University.
