Adjunct Faculty – Graduate Nursing DNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate and instruct meaningful learning experiences that align with course outcomes in the curriculum.

• Support all aspects of the learning environment by providing instruction focused on student-centered learning.

• Oversee the educational process to ensure all students have a positive learning experience.

• Execute faculty responsibilities as outlined in the Faculty Supplement of the South University Employee Handbook.

• Deliver course instruction in accordance with the South University curriculum framework and delivery methodology.

• Create instructional plans and activities aimed at achieving course outcomes and lesson goals.

• Provide approved instruction within online course platforms when necessary.

• Leverage technology in the classroom to enhance student learning.

• Set student performance standards and assess learning outcomes accordingly.

• Organize and prepare classes to foster student success and engagement.

• Keep precise records, submit grades and reports punctually, and uphold academic and attendance policies.

• Connect professional, personal, and industry experiences to the learning process while maintaining professional and technical competencies.

• Introduce insights from the industry and stay informed about professional and industry trends and opportunities.

• Engage in faculty development to improve skills related to learner-centered instruction.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, faculty, and administrators at South University.

• Participate in curriculum and system task forces, campus events like orientation and graduation, workshops, and meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related field is required for faculty teaching graduate and post-baccalaureate courses.

• Doctorate-level experience in Epidemiology and Biostatistics or an equivalent background is preferred.

• Experience in instruction or a formalized educational setting, ideally in a post-secondary institution within a DNP Program, is preferred.

• Membership in a professional association relevant to the area of instruction is preferred.

• A minimum of six months of teaching experience at South University or another post-secondary institution is preferred; online teaching experience is advantageous for online-only positions.

• An active, valid, and unencumbered state license or certification relevant to the discipline is required.

• A compact license is mandatory.
