Adjunct Faculty, Elementary Korean

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct Elementary Korean I (KORN 111) remotely for the World Languages/Cultures program.

• Enhance students' abilities in speaking, listening, reading, writing, and typing, while fostering an understanding of foundational Korean language and culture.

• Actively involve students through consistent interaction that inspires them to achieve success.

• Facilitate student collaboration and practical application of knowledge through problem- and project-based learning activities.

• Deliver comprehensive and regular constructive feedback, and evaluate student assignments using established rubrics.

• Recognize and celebrate student achievements.

• Exhibit relevant and up-to-date expertise in the subject matter.

• Assist students in connecting concepts throughout their academic journey.

• Provide insights to the program director regarding potential curricular enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree in Korean, Korean language pedagogy, Korean linguistics, or a related discipline from an accredited higher education institution.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching the Korean language.

• Experience in teaching adult learners online and in higher education is highly preferred.

• Successful completion of the two-week online new faculty orientation, FacDev 411, is required as a condition of employment.

• Submission of a Resume/Curriculum Vitae is required.

• A cover letter is strongly preferred.

• Candidates with international degrees may need to provide a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES-approved vendor.
