Adjunct Assistant Professor, Nursing PMHNP

📋 Description

• Serve as a mentor, role model, and provide guidance and academic support to nursing students.

• Instruct assigned courses utilizing various teaching methodologies to facilitate the accomplishment of designated learning outcomes.

• Engage in course, curriculum, and program evaluation activities as part of continuous improvement initiatives.

• Enhance class materials and syllabi within the collaborative governance framework of the university.

• Sustain scholarly activities to contribute to the academic community.

• Participate in professional development and service to the university.

• Aid in the success of students as they transition into healthcare professionals.

• Employ innovative technologies and resources, including Simulation and Innovation Labs.

• Assume responsibility for students during their clinical placements.

• Clarify clinical expectations with both students and staff at clinical facilities.

• Guide students to appropriate resources for clinical preparation.

• Evaluate student knowledge and skills to ensure patient safety and optimal care standards.

• Facilitate pre- and post-conferences that connect theoretical content with clinical objectives and experiences.

• Provide timely and ongoing feedback regarding clinical performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of previous experience as a registered nurse delivering direct patient care.

• At least three years of experience in the specific field of instruction.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Experience with online learning management systems is essential.

• Adherence to state, federal, and local laws and regulations, including compliance with state Board of Nursing requirements.

• Educational background and experience must comply with state regulations and requirements set by state authorization agencies.

• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required.

• A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD is mandatory.

• Valid professional nurse licensure is required.
