Adjunct Assistant Professor – General Education, Statistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Teach general education courses in ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.

• Deliver instruction in subjects such as Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Basic Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, and Critical Reasoning.

• Guide students and create coursework for designated classes.

• Enhance teaching quality by exploring and implementing innovative instructional methodologies and techniques.

• Assist in reviewing and updating syllabi and instructional guidelines.

• Assess students' progress towards curriculum and course objectives and provide timely feedback on their progress.

• Contribute to strategic planning and evaluation of instructional initiatives.

• Keep accurate student attendance and grade records and support program data collection.

• Utilize the Learning Management System to present relevant and up-to-date course content.

• Facilitate ongoing communication with students through office hours, electronic means, and other suitable channels.

• Engage in professional development and participate in quarterly online faculty meetings.

• Remain informed of college updates.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean-Online Programs/Program Director-Online Nursing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree is required; a Doctoral Degree is preferred.

• Proven experience in mentoring students.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Prior experience in online teaching using a Learning Management System (LMS) is essential.

• Documented experience in educational methodology relevant to teaching assignments, including education theory and practice, current concepts related to specific subjects taught, or contemporary clinical practice experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications as necessary.

• A strong commitment to teaching and engaging with a diverse, multicultural, and multigenerational student body.

• Maintain CE hours to ensure licensure renewal, if applicable.
