Adjunct Assistant Professor – General Education, Math

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Teach general education courses in ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.

• Instruct subjects including Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Basic Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, and Critical Reasoning.

• Guide students and create coursework for designated classes.

• Enhance instructional quality by exploring and implementing innovative teaching methodologies and strategies.

• Aid in the review and revision of syllabi and instructional guidelines.

• Assess students' progress toward curriculum and course objectives and provide timely feedback.

• Assist with the strategic planning and evaluation of instructional initiatives.

• Maintain student attendance and grading records while supporting program data collection.

• Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to present current course materials.

• Engage in continuous communication with students via office hours, digital communication, and other suitable methods.

• Participate in professional development activities and quarterly online faculty meetings.

• Remain updated with college developments.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean-Online Programs/Program Director-Online Nursing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree is required; a Doctoral Degree is preferred.

• Proven experience in mentoring students.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Previous experience in online teaching is necessary, utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).

• Documented expertise in educational methodology relevant to teaching assignments, encompassing educational theory and practice, current concepts related to specific subjects, or contemporary clinical practice experience.

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products as required.

• A commitment to teaching and engaging with a diverse and multigenerational student population.

• Maintain continuing education hours to ensure renewed licensure, if applicable.
