Adjunct Assistant Professor – General Education, Math

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Teach general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.

• Deliver instruction in subjects such as Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Basic Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, and Critical Reasoning.

• Guide students and create coursework for designated classes.

• Enhance instructional quality through innovative teaching strategies and techniques.

• Assist in the review and revision of syllabi and instructional guidelines.

• Assess students' progress towards curriculum and course objectives and provide timely feedback on their performance.

• Contribute to strategic planning and evaluation of instructional initiatives.

• Maintain records of student attendance and grades, and support program data collection efforts.

• Utilize the Learning Management System to present relevant and up-to-date course material.

• Foster ongoing communication with students through office hours, electronic correspondence, and other suitable methods.

• Engage in professional development and participate in quarterly online faculty meetings.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean of Online Programs or the Program Director of Online Nursing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree is required; a Doctoral Degree is preferred.

• Capability to mentor students effectively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Prior experience in online teaching using a Learning Management System (LMS) is essential.

• Documented expertise in educational methodologies relevant to teaching assignments, including educational theory and practice, current concepts pertaining to specific subjects, or recent clinical practice experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• A commitment to teaching and engaging with a diverse, multicultural, and multigenerational student population.

• Maintain continuing education hours to ensure licensure renewal, if applicable.
