Adjunct Assistant Professor – General Education, Chemistry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Teach general education courses in ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.

• Instruct in subjects such as Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Basic Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, and Critical Reasoning.

• Guide students and create coursework for assigned classes.

• Enhance instructional quality through innovative teaching methods and techniques.

• Support the review and revision of syllabi and instructional guidelines.

• Assess students' progress towards curriculum and course objectives and provide timely feedback.

• Assist in strategic planning and evaluation of instructional initiatives.

• Maintain records of student attendance and grades, and help with program data collection.

• Utilize the Learning Management System to present relevant and up-to-date course content.

• Foster ongoing communication with students through office hours and electronic channels.

• Engage in professional development and continue education hours for license renewal, if necessary.

• Attend quarterly online faculty meetings.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean-Online Programs or Program Director-Online Nursing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree is required; a Doctoral Degree is preferred.

• Proven experience in mentoring students.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Prior online teaching experience is necessary, utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).

• A documented background in educational methodology relevant to teaching roles, including educational theory and practice, current subject concepts, or clinical practice experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications as needed.

• A strong commitment to teaching and engaging with a diverse and multigenerational student body.
