Adaptive Physical Education Teacher – Online

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Execute evaluations and reevaluations for adaptive physical education.

• Analyze educational records, assessment data, medical documents, therapy reports, and other relevant paperwork.

• Compile evaluation reports and present the findings to IEP teams.

• Deliver direct adaptive physical education services virtually as stipulated by IEP requirements.

• Create personalized goals and objectives for students.

• Collaborate with families, educators, therapists, and service providers.

• Suggest modifications, accommodations, and adaptive strategies.

• Engage in eligibility determination, evaluations, annual reviews, and reevaluation meetings.

• Keep service logs, track progress monitoring data, and generate reports.

• Supervise and report on progress towards IEP goals.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and school regulations.

• Utilize virtual platforms and technological tools for service delivery.

• Uphold a professional work environment and maintain a reliable schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of the U.S.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing Adaptive Physical Education services to students with disabilities in educational environments.

• Proven experience in performing evaluations, reviewing records, and formulating individualized recommendations.

• Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and participating in the IEP process.

• Valid teaching certification as per state regulations.

• Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) Adapted Physical Education Endorsement is required.

• Ability to maintain all necessary credentials and endorsements for the duration of the contract.

• Capability to pass background checks.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and virtual meeting platforms.
