This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Provide precise and compassionate information regarding disease progression, symptoms, and unmet needs for patients and their caregivers.
• Equip patients and caregivers with the knowledge and resources necessary to navigate their journey with DMD or SMA.
• Inform patients and caregivers about the advantages, correct usage, and possible side effects of branded products utilizing authorized materials and guidelines.
• Build relationships with local advocacy chapter leaders.
• Participate in events nationwide, represent the Novartis table, engage with DMD or SMA families, answer inquiries, and deliver presentations.
• Address virtual inquiries from patients and caregivers via phone or email.
• Conduct virtual meetings with local patient advocacy leaders and communities.
• Provide insights to cross-functional teams to aid in the development of educational materials, presentations, resources, and market strategies.
• Identify knowledge gaps among patients and caregivers and suggest enhancements to educational content.
• Comply with regulatory and compliance standards, including training and reporting on Adverse Events.
• Record interactions and feedback to refine the education program and support outcome tracking.
• Participate in internal and business reviews and prepare relevant meeting materials.
• Engage in functional planning, including tactical plans and budget considerations.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Concur, Salesforce, FUSE, and related platforms and processes.
• Stay updated on scientific knowledge related to responsible products and therapeutic areas.
• Ensure adherence to Novartis policies, the Code of Conduct, laws, and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare (e.g., social work, genetic counseling), education, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in patient education, pharmaceutical, or healthcare support roles.
• Willingness to travel 70% of the time, including weekends.
• Must reside near a major airport.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to present complex information in an empathetic, clear, and engaging way.
• Experience delivering presentations to live audiences.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance guidelines within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Proficient in utilizing virtual education tools, such as video conferencing and webinars.
• Creative and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and influence others.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills with a positive mindset.
• Proven effectiveness in a matrixed environment.
• Experience with financial and budgetary processes.
• Background in neuroscience/neuromuscular therapies, gene therapy, and rare diseases is preferred.
