Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create rate indications and conduct pricing analyses.

• Oversee the adequacy of rates, track loss trends, assess inflation impacts, and review emerging experiences.

• Develop and sustain pricing tools, exhibits, and documentation utilized for internal decision-making and regulatory submissions.

• Execute quarterly reserve analyses.

• Monitor loss emergence, assess claim severity and frequency trends, and evaluate CAT versus non-CAT performance.

• Collaborate with Claims and Finance to reconcile outcomes, explore driving factors, and enhance data quality.

• Construct recurring dashboards to track portfolio performance and identify emerging trends.

• Work alongside Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Data/Engineering, and Leadership on special initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in P&C actuarial roles.

• Possession of ACAS/FCAS credentials.

• Strong sense of ownership and a self-driven approach; capable of propelling work forward with minimal guidance.

• Excellent skills in Excel and Python.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
