This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Develop, maintain, and enhance AXIS pricing models for individual life insurance offerings.
β’ Revise assumptions and create model inputs and outputs.
β’ Execute sensitivity analyses and scenario testing.
β’ Conduct actuarial evaluations to support new product development, enhancements, and pricing strategies.
β’ Assess pricing results, experience studies, and market dynamics.
β’ Offer insights and suggestions for product design and pricing strategies.
β’ Collaborate with actuarial, product, finance, operations, and other departments.
β’ Prepare data for reinsurance quotes and evaluate pricing analyses.
β’ Aid in assessing reinsurance agreements.
β’ Create and sustain reporting and analysis for product profitability, emerging experiences, and business and industry trends.
β’ Participate in the implementation, validation, and testing of new products and modifications in quotation tools and administrative systems.
β’ Identify opportunities to enhance actuarial models, tools, and procedures.
β’ Completion of at least two actuarial examinations and ongoing progress toward obtaining an ASA and ACIA designation.
β’ Over 2 years of actuarial experience, preferably in individual life insurance pricing, product development, or a related field.
β’ Proficiency in AXIS for model development and modification, pricing analyses, and performing sensitivity and scenario tests.
β’ Advanced skills in Excel, particularly with intricate spreadsheets and formulas.
β’ Experience with VBA is regarded as beneficial.
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
β’ Capacity to convert complex actuarial results into clear business insights.
β’ Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
β’ Familiarity with reinsurance and/or IFRS 17 is considered advantageous.
β’ Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to provide customer service and communicate with internal stakeholders.
β’ Bilingualism (ENG/FR) is viewed as an asset.
