Actuarial Analyst, GMP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Engage in a diverse array of defined benefit pension projects for clients managing DB pensions and bulk annuity providers.

• Execute audits for benefit calculations.

• Conduct data validation, perform audits, and engage in data enhancement or creation initiatives.

• Assist with benefits and data due diligence processes.

• Implement exercises for benefit correction and rectification.

• Develop benefit calculation proformas for the administration teams.

• Test calculations against automated results and leverage pensions expertise to identify or rectify calculation discrepancies.

• Generate or review benefit summary specifications.

• Clearly document issues and findings via email and phone communications.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the broader pensions sector.

• Prepare consulting reports as necessary.

• Work closely with actuaries and consultants within the team and the larger actuarial department.

• Coordinate with administration teams to resolve issues in a pragmatic and accurate manner.

• Maintain an audit trail for all work activities.

• Assist in managing team workflows to ensure timely client delivery.

• Take ownership of personal learning and development while keeping abreast of pensions regulatory changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently part of a pensions actuarial team, or possess DB pensions experience with a focus on DB pensions calculations while pursuing an actuarial career.

• Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and macros.

• Ideally, have experience working on pensions-related projects.

• Familiarity with PFaroe actuarial software is preferred.

• A strong team player with a positive attitude and a flexible work approach.
