Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for cash collections and making collection calls.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices to ensure accuracy.

• Carry out administrative tasks to guarantee timely and precise payments on accounts.

• Execute collection activities on accounts that are over 30 days past due.

• Notify Management of any situations or issues that require attention.

• Work in collaboration with other departments to obtain information or support for account collections.

• Interact with clients via phone, email, and mail while upholding a professional demeanor.

• Provide assistance and support to other departmental needs.

• Identify, investigate, and adjust account discrepancies promptly.

• Record account details, collection findings, invoice discrepancies, and resolutions accurately.

• Protect sensitive information and data.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• At least 2 years of recent experience in business-to-business collections.

• Two or more years of experience in a customer service and/or accounts receivable position.

• Strong customer service skills demonstrated with external customers, vendors, visitors, coworkers, and management.

• Ability to maintain clear and effective written and verbal communication.

• Aiming for excellence in both work performance and customer service.

• Display courtesy in all interactions while representing the company.

• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Physical demands include regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, and listening; frequent hand and finger use for typing and reaching; and occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 lbs.

• The work environment will be clerical in nature, utilizing standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines).
