Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Process between 500 and 750 VA card payments each month.

• Charge, receipt, and post each payment within one business day while achieving 98%+ accuracy.

• Improve the work comp collection rate by 15 points within the first year.

• Decrease the work comp invoice-to-cash cycle time by 30% within the initial six months.

• Reactivate outstanding balances and ensure every aged invoice has a defined status, contact, and next step.

• Enable billers to concentrate on precise claims submission.

• Collaborate with the CFO and a small billing team dedicated to assisting veterans and injured workers across the nation.

• Monitor performance using a weekly scoreboard.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in work comp, medical, or third-party collections.

• Proven experience in working with adjusters and TPAs.

• Capability to verify every amount, card, and receipt prior to processing.

• Ability to clear today's queue within the same day.

• Persistent, courteous, and organized follow-up until payment is secured.

• Skillful in maintaining a status, contact, and next step for every open item.

• Competency in managing adjuster pushback in a professional manner.

• Ensuring the protection of patient and card data is essential.

• Familiarity with Excel and QuickBooks Online is required.

• Must be capable of working full-time remotely in the U.S., Monday to Friday, approximately 8 AM to 5 PM in the employee's respective time zone.

• Eligible for hourly and overtime pay.
