Accounts Receivable Specialist 1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Process and record accounts receivable from all designated payers within the anticipated Turnaround Time.

• Enter accounts receivable and electronic remittance from both private and government payers into the billing system.

• Investigate payer websites to retrieve posting documentation.

• Upload electronic reports, macros, and tools to reconcile files with received funds.

• Recognize issues and trends related to assigned payers.

• Ensure that aged accounts receivable are managed in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure.

• Liaise with leadership and collaborating teams to guarantee precise and timely processing of remittance.

• Handle high-volume transfers, adjustments/refunds, research, and communications.

• Uphold departmental standards and quality expectations.

• Assist with inventories and report any variances of potential concern.

• Adhere to departmental standard operating procedures for all tasks.

• Execute responsibilities under general supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with MS Excel.

• Ability to meet weekly and monthly production targets following training.

• Experience working in an office or administrative environment.

• Capability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience working from home or in an office setting.

• Availability Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm EST.

• Preferred: 1 year or more of experience in health insurance, medical claims, explanation of benefits, cash posting, and billing.
