This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the establishment of customer accounts and maintain billing data, which includes verifying billing contacts, tax information, payment instructions, coding, and associated documentation.
• Generate and send customer invoices based on approved contracts, orders, billing schedules, and other relevant documentation.
• Accurately and promptly process customer payments; investigate unapplied cash and resolve discrepancies with both internal and external parties.
• Track accounts receivable aging, follow up on overdue balances, and document collection efforts and customer commitments.
• Address customer billing inquiries and coordinate issue resolution with Sales, Legal, RevOps, and other internal departments.
• Assist with revenue recognition and month-end closing by managing revenue schedules and reconciling accounts receivable activity with the general ledger, bank transactions, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare documentation for journal entries and escalate exceptions as necessary.
• Keep organized, audit-ready reports, schedules, and supporting records; assist in audits and compliance reviews by collecting required documentation.
• Contribute to enhancements in billing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation processes while ensuring adherence to approval and documentation controls.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting operations, billing, cash application, revenue accounting, or a similar role; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
• Fundamental understanding of basic accounting and GAAP principles, including debits and credits, account reconciliations, and revenue-related schedules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, filters, lookups, and basic pivot-table analysis.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with customers.
• Capability to manage sensitive customer and financial information while adhering to documented procedures and approval processes.
