Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the accounts payable process.

• Validate, process, and document invoices and expenses.

• Confirm that financial transactions comply with organizational policies and standards.

• Complete the annual renewals and updates for business licenses and registrations.

• Manage accounts payable invoice entry and scanning, including coding and approval workflows.

• Match and distribute checks.

• Assist in the preparation of annual audits and tax submissions.

• Perform general office tasks, including mail distribution.

• Manage the debarment process for current vendors.

• Approve and process MI Choice claims as instructed.

• Review the manual entries made by team members.

• Examine check runs, matching invoices with checks and EFTs to ensure accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in accounting or a related field.

• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting.

• Must be a resident of Michigan.

• Demonstrates knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.

• Willingness to support and assist individuals dealing with trauma-related issues.
