Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee and uphold the precision and effectiveness of the accounts payable process.

• Validate, process, and document invoices and expenses.

• Ensure that financial transactions comply with organizational policies and standards.

• Complete annual renewals and updates for business licenses and registrations.

• Maintain the entry and scanning of accounts payable invoices, including coding and approval workflows.

• Match and distribute checks.

• Assist in preparing for annual audits and tax submissions.

• Perform general office tasks, such as distributing mail.

• Manage the debarment process of current vendors.

• Approve and process MI Choice claims as instructed.

• Review manual entries made by team members.

• Examine check runs, ensuring that invoices are accurately matched with checks and EFTs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in accounting or a related domain.

• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting.

• Must be a resident of Michigan.

• Demonstrates understanding of trauma-informed care principles.

• Willingness to assist and support individuals with trauma-related concerns.
