This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Support the management of all accounts payable operations for the Organization and its affiliates.
• Assist with accounts payable responsibilities and serve as a backup for the accounts payable team.
• Manage vendor maintenance, which includes adding new vendors, making modifications, and setting default GL accounts.
• Review and oversee accounts payable system queues and logs.
• Analyze accounts payable aging and on-hold items to guarantee prompt invoice payments.
• Prepare nursing home invoices for processing purposes.
• Manage the void check procedure.
• Provide leadership, support, and guidance to staff regarding deadlines.
• Coordinate the completion of accounts payable tasks prior to check runs.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of the accounts payable system and its compliance with reporting standards.
• Establish productive relationships with vendors and internal approvers.
• Oversee the preparation of reconciliations for assigned responsibilities.
• Address or escalate accounts payable issues, ensuring effective resolution.
• Supervise, direct, and train personnel; manage daily activities and communicate organizational information, goals, and policies.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on invoices and accounts payable processing.
• Assist with the annual 1099 processing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
• At least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in accounts payable functions.
• Familiarity with an automated accounts payable system.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and complex financial systems.
• Strong leadership abilities, critical thinking skills, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven successful experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.
• Skilled in time management and prioritization.
• Ability to work independently with discretion and sound judgment.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
• Must agree to drug and/or alcohol testing following a conditional job offer.
• Eligibility verification through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse after a conditional offer for employees servicing Florida affiliates.
• Agreement to drug and/or alcohol testing following a conditional job offer.
• Ongoing compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
• Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse eligibility verification for employees working with Florida affiliates.
