Accounts Payable Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure that all payments to suppliers and partners are processed accurately, punctually, and with all necessary approvals completed.

• Oversee bank reconciliation and the accounting classification of accounts payable transactions.

• Assist with the month-end closing process and generate metrics to facilitate decision-making.

• Examine inconsistencies and exceptions to identify root causes and suggest preventive enhancements.

• Implement automation for payment reconciliation and verification using AI agents.

• Contribute to the design of accounts payable controls to support the growth of operations.

• Provide support for accounts receivable tasks through team rotation and coverage.

• Monitor on-time payment performance (SLA), error rates, rework in accounts payable, and the adoption of automated reconciliation across AP/AR.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and accounting classification, with a minimum of 3 years in the field.

• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.

• Familiarity with financial ERP systems.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to meeting deadlines.

• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with various teams and resolve exceptions.

• Capability to independently investigate discrepancies to their root causes and address them effectively.

• Enthusiasm for automation, new technologies, and emerging trends.

• Desire to grow in alignment with the company's progress.

• Availability for remote work with occasional in-person meetings.

• Completed or currently pursuing higher education in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Knowledge of accounts receivable is advantageous.

• Experience with reconciliation automation or RPA is a plus.

• Background in a technology company, marketplace, or platform with significant payment volumes is beneficial.

• Experience in processing payments to service providers and managing tax withholdings is advantageous.

• Familiarity with AI or AI agents in a professional setting is a plus.

• Experience in a rapidly growing company is beneficial.

• Experience with Omie is a plus.

• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

• Proficiency in Power BI or similar BI tools.

• Knowledge of AI and automation tools applied within finance.

• Basic understanding of tax and compliance processes related to payments and collections.
