Accounts Payable Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and prioritize the daily processing of invoices for suppliers of goods, services, and capital equipment.

• Examine and address any discrepancies in invoices for completeness, accuracy, compliance with policies, contract adherence, and alignment with strategic sourcing.

• Assist in Accounts Payable initiatives, including team development, training, onboarding, and technology implementations.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements alongside Accounts Payable Associates and management.

• Collaborate with various departments and key suppliers to guarantee timely invoice payments and continuous order fulfillment.

• Utilize ERP systems, GHX, Remitra, and supplier websites to review and audit invoices, resolve discrepancies, and tackle potential credit holds.

• Work together with Supply Chain and internal stakeholders to investigate procure-to-pay discrepancies and minimize supply disruptions and payment delays.

• Conduct research and resolve inquiries from both internal sources and suppliers; review supplier statements and act as the primary contact for supplier-related issues.

• Facilitate communication among Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, Accounts Payable, Master Data Integrity, internal customers, and suppliers to address invoice match exceptions.

• Execute payment analysis and address payment discrepancies.

• Manage supplier and departmental inquiry tickets using an online ticketing system.

• Analyze supplier electronic data files and prepare them for ERP uploads and payment processing or monthly accruals.

• Assess customer needs, make independent decisions, and offer solutions using sound judgment and subject matter expertise.

• Contribute to departmental KPIs and undertake a diverse range of Accounts Payable tasks.

• Respond to and direct inquiries from customers, Procure to Pay, and ERP systems, providing training as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; alternatively, 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare accounts payable may be considered in place of a degree.

• At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, contracting, procurement, or supply chain within a healthcare environment.

• Experience in non-healthcare industries may be considered instead of direct healthcare experience.

• Proven experience with supplier statement reconciliation.

• Background in a large, matrixed organization.

• Familiarity with Salesforce ticketing systems or similar supplier management platforms is preferred.

• Proficient knowledge of purchasing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

• Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Exceptional Excel skills, including the use of XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.

• Understanding of Accounts Payable and Procurement processes and procedures.

• Strong analytical skills for collecting and interpreting data.

• Ability to work autonomously, solve problems, make decisions, prioritize tasks, multitask, and deliver excellent customer service.

• No licensure, registration, or certification required.

• Minimal travel is required; must be capable of operating necessary equipment.
