This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Establish trusted relationships with athletic departments, conferences, collegiate venues, campus safety leaders, and university decision-makers.

• Identify promising universities and conferences, foster executive relationships, generate a sales pipeline, and lead complex opportunities from initial outreach to closing.

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans for designated collegiate athletics accounts and territories.

• Oversee the entire new-business sales process from account identification through discovery, demonstration, business case formulation, proposal, negotiation, and closing.

• Gain an understanding of institutions’ priorities, traditions, operating environments, event calendars, decision-making structures, and objectives regarding fan and guest experiences.

• Assist potential customers in defining requirements, quantifying value, and assessing safer, more efficient venue operations.

• Navigate complicated buying committees and reconcile stakeholders with differing priorities.

• Cultivate executive sponsors and internal advocates.

• Develop account plans, stakeholder maps, closing strategies, and mutual action plans.

• Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, events, thought leadership, and market development initiatives.

• Partner with Product, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, and implementation teams throughout the engagement to launch process.

• Represent Evolv at collegiate athletics, venue management, sports business, safety, security, and higher education events.

• Maintain opportunity data, next steps, forecasts, and customer insights within Salesforce.

• Share market intelligence to enhance Evolv’s collegiate athletics strategy.

• Build a sales pipeline, meet or exceed territory revenue targets, close complex opportunities, and uphold pricing integrity and forecast accuracy.

• Report directly to the Vice President of Sports and Entertainment.

• Travel across the territory to universities, conferences, events, and customer locations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in new business sales, business development, corporate partnerships, strategic accounts, or a similar revenue-generating role.

• Demonstrated capability to build a pipeline and transform relationships into tangible business opportunities.

• Experience managing intricate sales cycles that involve multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and formal procurement processes.

• Ability to engage credibly with operational teams and senior leadership.

• Strong skills in discovery, presentation, negotiation, business writing, and storytelling.

• Experience in developing territory plans, account strategies, stakeholder maps, and closing plans.

• Strong discipline in CRM practice and comfort with pipeline quality, next steps, and forecast accuracy.

• Independence and resourcefulness in a remote, rapidly growing environment.

• Collaborative mindset when involving internal partners.

• Relevant experience in collegiate athletics, conferences, multimedia rights, sponsorships, ticketing, premium seating, or corporate partnerships.

• Background in sports and entertainment venues, live events, facilities, guest experience, higher education, campus-wide technology solutions, safety, security, venue operations, or public safety technology.

• Experience in selling solutions that require coordination among operations, technology, finance, procurement, legal, and executive leadership.

• Willingness to travel approximately 50% to 80% of the time.

• Flexibility to attend games, events, demonstrations, industry gatherings, and customer meetings during some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must reside in Texas; preference for candidates located near Dallas and a major airport.
