This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.
• Assist the Head of Finance in managing daily financial operations across several entities.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, precise, and current.
• Accurately post supplier and contractor invoices to the appropriate entity, ensuring correct coding and dates.
• Record card transactions and track outstanding receipts.
• Generate recurring customer and inter-company invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements and address any supplier inquiries.
• Process claims for employee expenses.
• Conduct weekly reconciliations of bank and payment platform accounts for all entities.
• Maintain the status sheet for reconciliations.
• Escalate any unmatched transactions and unusual items.
• Distribute customer statements and payment reminders.
• Allocate receipts to invoices, including partial payments.
• Keep the aged receivables report updated.
• Prepare monthly payment runs for contractors and suppliers for approval.
• Compile month-end schedules, including prepayments and accruals.
• Gather data for VAT returns.
• Maintain finance trackers that cover reconciliations, subscriptions, and contractor management.
• Organize and file invoices, statements, and receipts in the shared drive.
• Keep supplier and contractor records updated in Xero.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Compile documents as requested by auditors and advisors.
• Participate in weekly check-ins, adhere to agreed KPIs, and complete ad hoc tasks.
• 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance position.
• Part-qualified in ACCA, AAT, or an equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in using Xero, including bill management, invoicing, and bank reconciliation.
• Comfortable with Excel and maintaining organized files.
• Experience with reconciliations, accounting entries, and credit control processes.
• Strong written English skills for correspondence with suppliers, operators, and advisors.
• Organized and accountable work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Clear and timely communication regarding deadlines and open inquiries.
• Willingness to utilize AI tools daily and contribute to process improvements and automation.
• Experience working across multiple entities is a plus.
• Background in the iGaming or technology sector is an advantage.
• Familiarity with payment platforms or electronic money institutions is a bonus.
• Flexible part-time schedule of 20–25 hours per week, arranged within standard office hours.
