Accounting Systems Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the administration, optimization, and integration strategy for the company’s essential financial systems, with NetSuite as the primary system of record.

• Oversee NetSuite users, roles, workflows, saved searches, custom fields/records, dashboards, chart of accounts, subsidiaries, and intercompany elimination structures.

• Facilitate multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation.

• Manage NetSuite releases, sandbox testing, and change control processes.

• Create and modify NetSuite reports and saved searches.

• Convert accounting and process requirements into scalable NetSuite configurations.

• Administer Navan, Tipalti, and Avalara, including user management, permissions, approval workflows, policies, rules, vendors, and tax settings.

• Maintain integrations between NetSuite and Navan, Tipalti, UKG, and Avalara.

• Diagnose integration failures, synchronization errors, and mapping discrepancies.

• Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve system issues.

• Assess new integrations, middleware, and API connections.

• Document data flows, field mappings, and system dependencies.

• Assist employee end users with inquiries regarding Navan, Tipalti, and Avalara.

• Identify manual accounting processes and design automated solutions.

• Build and sustain AI-assisted workflows utilizing Claude or similar tools.

• Develop lightweight tools and scripts, including Excel automation and low-code applications.

• Monitor efficiency improvements and error reductions resulting from automation initiatives.

• Coordinate with IT, HR, and AP/Treasury teams regarding changes to financial-data systems.

• Support month-end and quarter-end closures by ensuring integrations are processed accurately and timely.

• Assist with audit requests related to system controls, access, and data integrity.

• Provide training to accounting staff on tools, automations, and system functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in accounting or financial systems.

• Practical NetSuite administration experience.

• Proven experience managing at least one of Navan, Tipalti, UKG, or Avalara, or similar T&E, AP, HRIS/payroll, or tax platforms.

• Strong grasp of accounting principles, including GL, AP, payroll journal entries, and intercompany/consolidation concepts.

• Comfortable working with APIs, integration platforms, or middleware concepts.

• Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for practical business/accounting applications.

• Proficient Excel skills.

• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment.

• NetSuite certification (Administrator or SuiteFoundation) preferred.

• SQL or scripting experience is a plus.

• Background in controllership or accounting operations.

• Detail-oriented.
