Accounting Specialist I – SAP FI, Key User

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary user and expert resource for the FI module in SAP S/4HANA.

• Serve as the liaison between the accounting requirements of the Tax, Finance, and Controllership departments and the Technology team.

• Engage in implementations, SAP S/4HANA migrations, corporate integrations, rollouts, expansions, acquisitions, and the Simplifica project.

• Lead the gathering of accounting requirements, along with the design and validation of functional solutions.

• Develop and execute integrated SIT/UAT tests while conducting functional validation.

• Analyze accounting standards and convert them into system requirements within SAP.

• Implement regulatory changes, including those resulting from Tax Reform.

• Conduct and review closing routines, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analyses.

• Track accounting indicators and KPIs, identify risks, and initiate improvements and automation.

• Ensure the configuration, support, and ongoing development of ERP workflows.

• Validate integrations and the accounting treatment of collections, billing, returns, services, and other financial transactions.

• Design and implement internal controls and manage system access within SAP.

• Audit manual journal entries.

• Advocate for best practices and deliver technical training to users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.

• Active professional registration with the CRC (Brazilian Federal Accounting Council) — a mandatory requirement.

• Extensive experience in the field of accounting.

• Demonstrated experience as a Key User of the SAP FI module.

• Familiarity with accounting configuration and a systems-oriented ERP perspective.

• Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of accounting routines, month-end closing, reconciliations, and account analysis.

• Experience in mapping accounting processes.

• Experience in gathering technical and functional requirements.

• Proven experience in designing solutions.

• Experience with integrated SIT/UAT testing scenarios and functional validation.

• Intermediate proficiency in Google Workspace, especially spreadsheets and structured presentations.

• Basic practical knowledge of SQL is preferred.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or other enterprise cloud data solutions is desirable.
