Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the VP of Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and take ownership of Jupiter Power’s consolidated financial statements, which include the balance sheet, income statement, members’ equity, cash flow, and footnotes

• Manage portfolio-wide financial statement templates and checklist standards

• Identify opportunities and assist in implementing process enhancements throughout the financial statement closing process

• Oversee inter-entity mapping, intercompany transactions, and equity management across the portfolio

• Lead the framework and execution of specialty technical accounting areas, including ASC 606, ASC 842, HLBV, intangibles, and inventory

• Research technical accounting matters and keep abreast of GAAP developments

• Conduct independent reviews of tax equity, offtake, debt, and similar agreements

• Draft technical accounting memorandums with suggested accounting positions

• Present final memorandum conclusions and any novel or precedent-setting treatments to the VP for approval

• Assist in managing annual audits, including coordination of PBC, follow-up, and adherence to timelines

• Elevate any open or unresolved technical accounting questions to the VP

• Perform additional ad hoc tasks as requested

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is mandatory

• CPA certification is required

• 5 to 8 years of pertinent accounting experience

• Background in project-based accounting (preferably in construction, oil & gas, or renewables/energy infrastructure)

• Previous industry experience is essential; candidates should not come directly from public accounting

• Proven ability to independently propose accounting positions on complex issues

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct is required

• Familiarity with Ramp, Expensify, Corpay, or similar platforms is preferred

• Strong organizational and analytical capabilities

• Proven track record in successful process improvement

• Ability to make sound decisions autonomously
