This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a subject matter expert in manufacturing processes, covering everything from raw materials to finished products and cost of sales.
• Conduct monthly analytics on cost of sales, absorption, PPV, and other key metrics to ensure precise standards and gross margins.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of product cost data; assist with month-end closing activities.
• Analyze cost accounting information and provide insights for informed business decisions.
• Lead a cross-functional team of accountants within a global organization; delegate projects, documentation, ad-hoc analysis, and review and authorize month-end closing journal entries.
• Guarantee adherence to company policies, internal controls, processes, and regulatory standards.
• Develop inventory policies and procedures while enhancing inventory management practices.
• Assist in the setup of manufacturing bills of materials, routings, and purchased-parts material master.
• Identify implementation tasks and deliverables, and aid in their coordination and execution.
• Set KPIs, timelines, and communication schedules with Cost Accounting and Operations FP&A teams.
• Organize and develop training for finance, accounting, manufacturing, and procurement teams.
• Oversee annual standards setting, cost rollups, and standard cost updates in the ERP system for the Annual Operating Plan.
• Maintain material updates through MasterControl requests and QAD/ERP system modifications.
• Assist FP&A with product cost data and forecasting models.
• Support audits and respond to ad hoc cost accounting inquiries.
• Facilitate ERP implementation through data conversion, cleansing, testing, policy and procedure evaluation, and workflow development.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Preferred 5+ years of experience in cost accounting.
• Proficient in advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, data merges, and filters.
• Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment.
• Strong knowledge and competency in U.S. GAAP.
• Willingness to work flexible or extended hours during month-end close to support an international team based in the Philippines.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Experience in managing and leading a team.
• High attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and capability to handle multiple projects.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Required knowledge of multinational ERP systems; familiarity with SAP and/or QAD is a plus.
• Previous involvement in ERP implementations or related project management.
• Experience in a dynamic, team-oriented, matrixed organization.
