Accounting & Payments Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the daily transaction workflow involving expenses, sales orders, the general ledger, and creator payouts.

• Examine creator payment runs for precision, approvals, and necessary documentation prior to processing.

• Facilitate and execute creator payments using Lumanu.

• Prepare PayPal payments for creators and dispatch approved batches to Payments Processing.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to failed, duplicate, or disputed payouts.

• Review and authorize sales orders on a daily basis, ensuring correct pricing, terms, and customer information.

• Identify and report discrepancies in sales orders to the Sales and Customer Success teams.

• Document journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications within the general ledger.

• Assist in revenue recognition and align revenue with sales orders and billing.

• Reconcile Lumanu and PayPal transactions with the general ledger.

• Contribute to deliverables associated with month-end closings.

• Review and approve employee expense reports in Airbase, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Coordinate reimbursements and follow up on missing receipts or expenditures that deviate from policy.

• Provide support for payroll entries and related data from Paylocity as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or payments operations.

• Proficient understanding of GL accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue fundamentals.

• Direct experience with high-volume payment processing and payment platforms (such as PayPal).

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong controls-oriented approach towards approvals and payment releases.

• Proficient written English skills and dependable communication with teams based in the US.

• Ability to consistently work during Pacific Time hours.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or progress towards ACCA/CPA is preferred.

• Familiarity with Lumanu, Airbase, and Paylocity is preferred.

• Experience in influencer marketing, the creator economy, or SaaS is preferred.

• Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets are preferred.
