Accounting Operations Expert – Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the claims accounting sector

• Carry out intricate catch-up tasks and rectify historical inconsistencies

• Create efficient processes for premium trust and claims funding moving forward

• Collaborate with the team during month-end closings and daily operations

• Analyze current workflows and pinpoint obstacles

• Suggest enhancements for data flow efficiency between the MGA and carrier partners

• Utilize advanced Excel, automation tools, and AI technologies like Copilot Pro

• Reduce manual data entry and improve cross-system reporting

• Manage high-volume bank reconciliations and bordereaux reporting

• Serve as a strategic partner to finance leadership

• Offer technical accounting insights

• Promote ongoing improvement across teams in San Diego, Dallas, New York, and North Carolina

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in the insurance industry is essential

• In-depth knowledge of MGA/delegated authority models

• Familiarity with premium trust accounting and carrier reporting is a significant advantage

• Strong understanding of complex accounting principles

• CPA/CA certification is preferred

• Proven history of enhancing finance and accounting processes

• Highly skilled in Excel

• Demonstrated capability to implement automation or AI tools within finance workflows

• Must be located onshore or fully able to coordinate with U.S. working hours

• Strong preference for West Coast working hours

• Proactive in identifying inefficiencies, questioning current processes, and proposing innovative solutions
